She felt as if he had stolen her wordsShe felt as if he had stolen her words -
stolen them right from her poetic core.
For months she had been unable to write,
since she couldn't find a rhyme any more.
The "big reveal" had left her feeling raw
as she got lost in a labyrinth of memories.
His nonchalance, his inability to repent -
she was broken by this behaviour of his.

He acted like she was irrelevant, so small -
too small to deserve a heartfelt apology.
Anger, disappointment, sadness and pain
all prevented her from creating new poetry.
The proverbial shit had hit the fan,
destroying every obstacle in its way.
Her words were gone, he kidnapped them all;
she couldn'

"Shadows fall on yesterday,
and now the light just fades away.

I'm broken, torn apart
without a care.

Memories consume,
scratching all these
desperate wounds.

I'm nothing,
an empty shell of
misery.

Save me from this dark
demented abyss I'm in.

A coma of empathy
no doubt I lost your sympathy.

Breathe some life back into
me, don't leave me here like this.

All my seams have busted,
no more dreams to substitute
for all of the rusted wounds.

Shadows fall on tomorrow,
and now I'm left here hollow.

This dark cloud's pouring
down, leaving me here in this
lifeless town..."

CrashingOne of these days
my last breath will be
                  Stolen
From me

Not gently exhaled,
But       held tightly in my chest
Braced against the impact
                       that rips through me.

                    A painful gasp

Fruitful DecayIn a long-forgotten grove

Where the fruits of folly grow free,

Flowing with the juices of lust

And self-indulgent vanity.

The trunks are crimson-stain'd

By bloodshed of wars gone past

That left the kingdoms desolate

At the hands of relentless wrath.

Twisted by ambition and greed

Their arrogant wills bore envy's seed

And when their plots finally flowered

They were consumed in those final hours

And as the nations fell to ruin,

The heavens too began to rot away;

Leaves descend onto the forsaken world,

Trapped in the birthplace of moral decay.

Lost spiritI watch your spirit float out your eyes
Your lips stitched together with fear
Your mind bleached of logical thoughts
I recall a day where the sun was bright
And our laughter echoed off walls and ran down the street
Like innocent children dancing in a dim schoolyard
Confessedly, this is the moment I loved you
And I hold only honesty in my blackened heart
Suns ran over the horizon and you lost your inner child
I sat back and watched your mind leak out your ears
And for once, I saw your true skin that was hidden in a shell
You answered my questions softly, your lips barely letting air escape
Your hands pasted to your knees and your e

Here as you fallI stand here watching you cry
As light falls in little patches
Roving over you like a soothing hand.
The bones in your legs ache, machinery crumbling
As you fall down, on all fours now
The dog has a new reason to feel proud.
You're not a fist now, but twisted fingers
Gripping the dust in hope of better days to come.
Your heart left a hollow in its stead
The freed veins mesh into one to dull the pain
You wish.

I am fascinated as you break down
Even the Desiree disintegrates,
Bites the dust and the dust clouds my conscious.
I'm but a speck on your canvas.
I've never seen beyond the skylight
And your consciousness stems from the

I know not whyI know not why the caged bird sings,
all I can say is that it does–
imprisoned forever, poor thing.
Doomed to repeat its melodies,
with no one around to listen.
Cut off from the world, like disease–
Lonely, terrible existence.
I know not why it softly cries,
Only that it does. Persistence.
When all of its screams have not been
heard, why, dear lord, do you treat it
so? What is this I feel within?
Such a longing to set it free
grows stronger with each solemn note.
This passion burns inside of me!
I know not why the caged bird sings,
all I can say is that it does,
and how it longs to spread its wings.

The Mariner's MistressAlone in life I made a prayer,
that soon was answered by the air.
Thus you, who navigates the seas,
were guided to me by the breeze.
You set my brittle heart aflame;
I only hoped I couldst thou tame.
A steamy bath, its aftermath,
And in the dark we forged a path,
...
All through the voyage oceans roared,
but then you threw me overboard.
I thrashed and wailed to no avail,
and onward to new ports you sail.
Though in the depths my spirit sinks,
my sorrows never drowned, methinks.
I lost you to the falling tide,
and now lament the love I tried.

Like a CloakI gather all my emotions around me.
I wear them like a cloak
Hooded,
Hiding.
Peering silently out;
My eyes,
Crimson,
Swollen,
Filled with the tears
Of the past.
I wrap my cloak tighter
Like a fortress;
Walled,
Guarded.
Keeping me safe;
From the enemy
Of ..
Love.

ChoicesA restless night,
a sleepless bed
a child stays awake

Worried for herself
worried for her family
worried for her mommy and daddy

The angered shouts spread to her room

She hugs her teddy bear tight
and wishes she didn'y have to choose

Her mommy says she loves her more than daddy
and says bad things about him
Daddy kisses another women
and tells her not to tell mommy

More yelling

A year passes

She doesn't like the new mommy,
daddy has chosen
She doesn't like the new daddy
mommy has

New mommy asks to see the family picture
she drew

The new mommy wants to know why she's not in the picture

The little girl says
"I choose

Please Don't Go...I can feel the coldness slowly taking you away from me
As you lie here so still on the white snow.

My arms rap around you so tight
As tears start to roll down my pale face.

All that's going through my head right now
Is why I couldn't be here sooner?
Would I have stopped this from all happening?

I rest my head gently on your chest
Hearing but the littlest hart beat
That is giving me hope that you will be alright.

As I listen I feel your arms start to rap around me
Pulling me closer to you.

You start to whisper in my ear saying
"I'm sorry…please remember that…I love you…"
As you kiss my cheek so softly after.

Is It Worth It?We share an amazing love.
A love that is more amazing than anything else.
We smile and laugh and love
Always.
We are so happy together.

But is it worth it?

They tore us apart and we are
Broken.
Shattered.
We are so upset
Unhappy
With this life of torment in being apart.
I scream at night without you there.
Scream.
It has progressed from bad dreams;
Progressed from nightmares.
I scream.

Is it worth it?

We cry at the slightest of things.
I sob for hours.
And hours.
And hours.
And hours.
I do nothing but cry
Into the night.

Is it worth it?

We share an amazing love.
A love that is more amazing than anything else.

WalkAll the footprints we've left behind
on this walk we call life.
I'm not here to cover my tracks now brother,
why can't you walk with me?

I can't hold these burdens any longer,
although they've made me stronger.
So don't try to stop me
from letting go.

I can't carry you,
I'd rather stand on my own.
I've dropped these chains for you,
now all I need is to
walk on my own.

You've lived your life in chains,
lost in your own past.
Tell me brother,
when will you walk with me?

Why cant you walk with me?
I cant hold these burdens any longer,
you keep covering your tracks,
so drop these chains and let them fall

With or Without YouWhat happened to my best friend?

He's moved on to better things

To people who will treat him right

And bring him brighter days

He's no longer my best friend

Those days have long since passed

This has been my greatest fear

It has come now, at last

I'm left without my shadow

The one I couldn't stand

He might as well have died

But for ten years we tried

Those days I took care of him

I loathed then

But miss them today

Without my bestie by my side

Every color has turned to grey

I miss my best friend

But today was destined to be

One ugly September evening

That would only end in tears

This has been my greatest fear

Will he spend all of his nights just before sleep
Praying to God that you will not weep?
And in all of his hopes and all of his dreams,
Will you be what he needs and all that he sees?

PilgrimsThe pilgrim left his small village still young. She wanted to know the world and seek the reasons of affection and love in profound teachings.

When she left, a young man of his village followed her. The youth always admired her from afar, but the idea of seeing the girl leaving filled his heart with sadness.

At first she did not understand it well. He always kept a certain distance, but was always there, watching.

He helped in the search for food and shelter. On cold nights, when she felt the spirit of her search become weak and the sadness haunted her spirit, he used to told silly stories of the village to cheer her up.

Absence

You're not here,
a smile can not reach you anymore
and I feel like a puzzle piece that lost his puzzle

You're not here,
you are far away of my apprehensive and gentle touch
and I feel as if delicate hands had dug a black hole in my chest
I feel as if the stars were seeping through it

You're not here,
you no longer can hear my sweet and sincere words
and I feel as if my heart had been muted
